Our Location
Wincle, in the heart of the Peak District, with countryside walks from the doorstep
All three of our properties sit within the grounds of a working sheep farm in Wincle, a quiet Cheshire village on the south west edge of the Peak District National Park. Roam 38 acres of fields and woodland down to the banks of the River Dane, or walk five minutes across the fields to the local pub for a well earned pint.
Wincle itself has an ice cream farm at Blaze Farm and its own microbrewery. Nearby towns including Leek, Buxton and Macclesfield offer further places to explore, along with many Peak District attractions.

Weddings and Celebrations
A relaxed countryside setting for the occasions that matter
Mellor Knowl Farm is also a place to celebrate. Our fields and gardens have hosted outdoor wedding ceremonies and family gatherings, with the old farm buildings and the hills of the Dane valley as the backdrop. It is an informal way to mark an occasion, with room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the countryside.
With The Farmhouse, Otters Retreat and Shepherd’s Crook all on site, your guests can stay together for the whole weekend. Tell us about your plans and we will help you work out what is possible.
